Admissions process checklist

A student desiring admission into a graduate program needs to take the following steps:

  1. Access the Missouri State Graduate online catalog. Complete an online Graduate College Application and pay non-refundable application fee of $35 (fees are subject to change).
  2. Submit transcripts and test score results.
    • One official copy of your transcripts showing course work for your bachelor's degree, as well as any graduate-level courses (please ensure your last 60 hours of course work are represented). Transcripts are not considered official unless they are received directly from the institution where the course work was completed.
    • GRE*, GMAT or MAT scores if you do not meet the Graduate College's GPA admission requirements and/or if required by the department of the program you are applying to. Please see the Missouri State Graduate online catalog for more information.
      *School code for GRE is 6665.
  3. Check with the department for any additional materials needed for admittance. This information must be sent directly to the department.
    • Letters of recommendation
    • Resume
    • Departmental/program application
    • Purpose statement
    • Letter of intent

The Graduate College or the appropriate department will inform you of your admission status. Please allow approximately six weeks to process your application materials.
